Bacchus #49

Creator(s): Eddie Campbell
Publishers: Self Published
Address: Australia
Price: ?

While this title started out as a home for the collected Bacchus storys, Eddie Campbell has has long since used up all the wonderfully rich mythical stories for this character and now gives us reprints of some of his early work along with some recent autobiographical pieces.

In this issue he relates his experiences at the Small Press Expo in 1999 along with a misguided attempt at buying a car. Frankly, I've given up caring what he writes about, I'm sure he could illustrate a tale about cleaning his fridge and it would be a entertaining. His whimsical, self effacing view of life makes each issue a joy to read and the artwork is great. My only complaint is that so many pages are given to showcasing the work of other creators. Cheers Eddie.

In a Word: Vintage.
