UK Smallpress Catalogue

Posted: Tuesday, September 13, 2005
By: Darren Schroeder

The Small Press Index... for want of a better name, is a new centralised database of UK small press titles... and we are ready for submission entries.

If you have a Small Press Title, currently available to buy in the UK then the organisers of the catalogue suggest you fill out this online form.

If you want to find a free image host, they would suggest using one like Picsplace... It's fairly straight forward, but please remember to supply the direct links to the images.

If you are a publisher, or retailer and don't want to fill out the form for every title, you can just e-mail a list with all the relevant information (price, page count, format... as much as possible) to this address:

smallpressindex@yahoo.co.uk

This is a community project designed to help everyone involved in the small press field. Vlad York, the catalogue administrator told SBC. As for the site/database itself... we're nearly there and it should be up and running completely by some point next week. Although not available for the beta test, we are hoping to bring free on-site image hosting and user-editable pages so contibutors can keep your information current and relevant... but more about that next week.

Also, if you have any questions, or ideas, mail the folks at smallpressindex@yahoo.co.uk
