Small Press Idolatry

The folks at Dimestore Productions, and the Small Press Association, may have a winner here: the first ever Small Press Idol contest! The Winner will be printed in the first full size comic book sized issue of the re-vamped Mysterious Visions Anthology, with an option for a continuing series based on sales and reaction, as well as a free advertising deal for The Guide. Top Runners Up will receive lesser deals, and all people who submit in the first round will be printed in a special "Small Press Idol: The Submissions" book, with the comments from the judges.

Ian Shires tels us We're hoping this competition, which will run for 4 rounds, and end in APRIL, will generate some real interest for the creators involved, and we will be vigorously promoting the competition. There will be updates about the competition in articles in The Guide to Self Published Periodicals, and it should be a lot of fun.
