FAQ: What Format?

A question from a reader:

I am prepared to make my book into a comic, but I would love it if you could tell me how many pages, if it needs to be in full color, the size of the pages, etc.

It all depends what sort of readership you are after. To appeal to a large audience you need at least a colour cover and comic that is the standard comic size. There is an audience for b/w comics but it takes a while to build up a readership. You could always go the small press route and do a small run photocopied comics. This might find a readership and would at least be a sample to show publishers what your works is like.
