Ellis wraps up Ignition City with a some violence, some explanation, and a bit of a shout-out to one of its biggest inspirations, Deadwood. But because you sorry sumbitches didn't buy it, we won't be getting any continuation of the story until at least late next year, if then. Seems Ellis is a bit discouraged at the sales, so may just cut his losses and not return to Ignition City since readers don't seem interested.

I blame each and every one of you who didn't bother picking this up, but are snatching up multiple copies of, and every spin-off of, Space Zombie Bull$7#t and calling yourselves science fiction fans. I hope you choke on your stupid little plastic rings.

Oh, I know there's not a direct correlation between the sales of the two books. I know that most of you brain-dead, obsessive-compulsive man-children out there who think Space Zombie Bull$7#t is the greatest comic to ever see print, clearly don't have the intellectual capacity to understand what real science fiction is or to actually have even half-developed aesthetic senses beyond getting hard over seeing underwear fetishists from beyond the grave eating people's hearts. That's the state of the fucking market, ennit? It's a market that doesn't seem to have room for a real science fiction story with original settings and a lovingly crass affection for the real pulp heroes of the past.

I'm not even going to bother telling you what happened here. You're not worth it. Nobody gets raped and there are no zombies. There's death, alright. Bloody graphic mutilation that carries with it a sense of moral retribution. It's not fucking mass murder as mindless entertainment.

And it's oh-so-satisfying. I want more. I'm probably not going to get more. And I blame all of you.
