Adam Archer escapes Discordia's prison thanks to another power he just remembered having. Archer rescues Crashman and Neela, despite Neela's protests. Crashman defeats Discordia with little help from Archer. Neela finally tells Archer how he's ruined his life and moves out of the tower. The whole day leaves Archer feeling unsettled.
The thing I love most about this series is how the characters seem too hip to be in it. They have vocabularies that sound inappropriately overeducated. It's like they read all the hip, indy liberal journals when they're not playing dress-up. In other words, they don't sound like superheroes or ôregular people." They sound like themselves.
And you've got to love the art. This is the retro-Kirby style with polish. You can just look at the pictures and get half the story. But then, you'd be missing the point. Godland just looks like a retro comic book. It reads like something else entirely.
