PVP (Player v. Player):
I just want to let you know I had a blast and a half, reading PVP (Player v. Player). Also, I like the format setting of your comic book, that is different, but works so well when reading the story strips. Skull is a very funny character. I really got a kick when he started imagining himself capturing Joker and sending him back to Arkham, or Skull as the Thing whuppin' butt on Dr. Doom. The imagination runs wild in your comic book, because who would have ever thought of urinal cakes. Then eating a box of them, sends the victim to the poison center...yuk!! Keep up the good work!
Vampirella Magazine #7 by Harris Publications:
I had a blast reading Vampirella Magazine #7 this evening. The highlights of your magazine were the Lady Death: The Motion Picture review. This is one must buy DVD that will be added to my collection. I was completely blown away with the artwork in The Robin Syndrome. Vampirella couldn't have looked better. I used to be a great fan of Howard Chaykin's American Flagg and to see a full blown article in your magazine had me smiling from ear-to-ear! Your feature on Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow was done with excellence and it's hard to believe that the actors/actresses performed behind a blue screen and everything else was added on. I was quite surprised on the audience reaction when I went to see it, not too many people were impressed. I think given time, this movie may become a cult classic and I hope they do a sequel. Bravo on Monster Cops v. Vampirella, who would have ever thought Frankenstein, Dracula and the Wolfman would become cops and meet up with the ultimate goddess herself Vampirella!! Another excellent issue!
Conan and the Daughters of Midora - One Shot by Dark Horse Comics:
I just picked up Conan and the Daughters of Midora - One Shot. I just went to a wedding anniversary party tonight and watched a one-hour show of Nora the Belly Dancer and I can just imagine how Conan must have felt watching that beautiful lady perform in front of him. Conan shows a definite hunger for passion, but before any kind of intimacy can take place, he finds himself in the midst of battle. Conan always faces great odds and is surrounded by men with the assistance of 2 other warriors and they all keep their back to each other. There is never any doubt that Conan will triumph over his enemies and to see him standing over the dead corpses, was the smell of victory! Another great Conan story that had my heart racing from one page to the next!
TMNT #5:
Tales of the TMNT #5 was unsually done. I was amazed at the black and white contrast to tell this story! I have never seen this done in any comic book and I give my major kudos to the artist, because I think he will have started a trend! The turtles are not only heroes, but they are confidents to many victims or people who feel they are being threatened. Case example as the 3 year old named Shadow explains on what it is like to be scared of the dark and our turtle hero listens with intentive ears. That was a great opening scene. With the black and white contrast the battle scenes looked more intense without the detail and I sat there astonished wandering how amazing this was! This comic book will sit in my collection of 'something new' in comic book formatting! Major kudos to the creative staff!
