If you love Quantum Leap, Time Tunnel, Voyager or Sliders, then Quantum: Rock of Ages is definitely the kind of comic book for you! Even though the fabric of the space/time continuum has been shattered and Nick Vargas (the hero of the story) has to seek out the other fragments, you will find surprises after surprises in this quaking story!
Can you imagine, another Earth, similar to our own world, except the fact that in World War II, the Nazis won the war? Yep, we have a present day Earth, in which Nazis have full control of everything. Nick Vargas is going through a transformation that he can't even comprehend. Nick receives a flood of sensations, images and visions that practically drive him batty. Nick discovers that he has the power of teleportation and when he is thinking he needs to be checked out by some doctor, he finds himself mysteriously inside a hospital. Whatever Nick wishes to be at, he can be there in a New York second. Nick gets sidelined to the 2nd Earth, where the Nazis are. Nick from normal citizen has now become a man of extraordinary abilities.
Nick also has a very unusual rock on his forehead and he tries to cover it up with a scarf. Nick finally starts getting some answers in the 2nd issue, when he encounters Frederick Stoltz of the 4th Reich. Yep, that is what I said...4th Reich. Would you believe that Adolf Hitler is dead and his son Kristof Hitler is now the leader. In fact Kristof Hitler has been running things since the disco 70s. A major shock that Nick discovers is that the whole west coast (yep, I am talking about California) is now gone! This is the type of comic book that is impossible to put down!
