Spectacular! How do you get a young guy who thinks he is too cool to read comic books to read comic books? How do you get a young girl who has never read comic books in her life to read comic books? How do you get an older guy that believes he outgrew comics years ago interested in reading comics again? Well the answers are all here in this fun filled comical comic book! Cute Elisa and her sister Christa get this comic started. Christa takes over and promotes comic books with a vengeance! Hilarious fun and this comic book makes a great point. How many people know that movies like From Hell, Men in Black I & II, The Crow, Road to Perdition, The Mask, Blade I & II were once comic books? How about Ghostworld? I told a few people that Ghostworld was once a comic book and they couldn't believe it. The comment I received was....'comic books are sure different then'.
People are accepting the fact that comic books are being made into movies from Superman to Batman to Spider-Man to Daredevil and the upcoming Hulk. A lot of people thought it was taboo to see a comic book movie, but with the success and popularity of the Spider-Man movie, there is a new light being shown upon the comic book industry. I have seen sooo many Spider-Man ties and shirts in the work place being worn by business men who don't read comics. Comic book characters are being accepted by the mainstream public and this is a good thing. I never knew that Road to Perdition was once a comic book. By picking up this free comic book, I learned something new. I also learned how to debate with people who don't like comic books. Myatt gives a lot of helpful advice!
Right now, I am so excited knowing that Hollywood made a movie from the comic book: The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen! I just saw the previews of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen that came on before the movie Rob Zombie's 1000 Corpses and the audience went wild. I got goosebumps as I watched this exciting preview. It will just be a matter of time before they make Fade from Blue into a Hollywood movie. Hollywood looks for good comic book material, because comic books touches all genres as Myatt points out. There are adult comics with themes on drama, adventure and comedy. Not all comic books are about heroes in leotards. Anyway this comic book reads like a Dummy's Guide to getting people not associated with the comic book subculture in reading comics! Myatt hits the mark with this one!
