Brath aka Slaine aka Braveheart.

The celts fight against the invading armies, and, the loose alliance of clans under charismatic leader Brath Mac Garen decides to take the battle to the romans rather than wait for them to invade again.

Well, alright, they're called Urelanders rather than Celts, and Domnians rather than Romans, but there's no real reason for this - in fact, it comes across in the book as a bit embarrassed, CGE might as well have used the "real" names and said sod it, no-one will get confused and think this is "real" history, let's just get on with it.

Oh well.

Mix in a stag god bestowing visions upon his chosen one a la Robin Hood and a very mysterious couple of beings, one of which unfortunately looks like Clown Jr from the pages of Spawn...somewhat of a distraction really.

You can't help but feel that Brath's son is going to bite the big one in a few issues, though.
