Sephie does some serious thinking about the man in her life Jad. Sephie's people all think Jad may be dead. But in Meridian #33 the main focus is on Jad. Jad is imprisoned on an island with some other people. They fear to get off the island because of a gigantic sea beast.

While Jad contemplates on how to destroy this creature, his thoughts fall heavily upon his father and mother. Especially his father, the reader can see that Jad has learned much from his father and shows him great respect. He thanks his mother and father for allowing him the knowledge of taking care of himself.

When Jad has the showdown with the great watery beast, it appears that Jad has tricked the beast into beaching himself upon the sand, but the shocking part of this killing is when Jad rips himself out of the belly of the beast and the populace is stunned by his show of bravery! Stunning story with exceptional artwork!
