Okay, the title is 'Man-Machine Interface' but I like mine better. There's a lot going on here and I followed very little of it. Even for a western artist Shirow's storytelling is incredibly intense, lotsa dialogue, plenty of footnotes, very busy artwork. When the book comes out (it'll probably be just in time for when the story's set) I'll give more time and effort to it but at the moment it makes my head hurt.
However, what has really drawn in quite a few people is the lush art - there are some really nice sequences and gorgeous drawings through - some computer generated scenes tie-up with the appropriate segments of the plot, and whilst it is quite hard going, it at least looks very pretty whilst you're working it out.
