Kickstarter Spotlight: Nowhere Man: Jacked UpA comics news article
Jacked Up is volume two in Forward Comix’s Nowhere Man, a crime drama/sci-fi psychological thriller. The new volumes will be released begining this summer as three 7″x 10″ trade paperback books. Each book will be approximately 50 pages in length, and in full color.
More than six months have passed. Being the only person who fully knows what happened that day, Detective Rose Yancey now carries dark secrets of her own. Zade is about to take control once more and things are really going to get Jacked Up!
The goals for this campaign are simple:
1) Provide pre-order copies of the first book in the Jacked Up volume.
2) Fund the completion of second and third books in this volume. Some reward levels will allow you to pre-order and receive Books Two and Three as soon as they are completed.
If you are new to the series, you needn’t worry as the reward levels for this Kickstarter will allow you to acquire copies of the first Nowhere Man set (You Don’t Know Jack) Books One, Two and Three from a new print run, as well as the full Jacked Up volume. You will be getting a total of six books. The series has had many highlights including nominations and five-star reviews. Accolades for Nowhere Man: You Don’t Know Jack include that it was nominated for three Glyph Comics Awards in 2014 (Best Artist • Best Male Character • Best Cover)
According to Walford, “It is a modest goal, but I’m really hoping to outperform the minimum. A significant fund raised here will me dedicate more time to finishing and coloring the art for Jacked Up Books Two and Three.” Stretch goal rewards will be announced once the minimum amount has been reached. Walford informed us that Jacked Up Book One is completed and ready for the printer. The artwork for Books Two and Three is mostly done. “A really successful campaign will allow me to take a little time off this summer, complete Books Two and Three, and publish them sooner.”
This project will only be funded if at least $2,000 is pledged by Sat, Jun 7 2014 7:24
