Artist Inks are "Golden" at San Jose Super-Con!

Second Annual Inking Panel off to fantastic start!
If it works don’t fix it! We’re sure that’s something many inker/artists are thinking looking over the highly detailed blueline selections for this years second annual San Jose Super-Con Inking Panel--May 17/18--as excitement builds for the East Bay’s premiere comic convention.
Following up last years stunning pencils by Frank Cho, this year’s selection includes pieces by Michael Golden, Adam Hughes, and Ernie Chan. The idea (in case you’ve been under a rock and don’t know about this great convention) is that the featured artists provide the pencils, bluelines are then sent around the globe to willing subjects, and the results of various talents trying their hand on the works—either via ink or paint-- are auctioned off at the San Jose Super-Con on Sunday!
Looking at the results from the panel so far, we can only say WOW! And, there is more to come with new submissions continuing to fly in.
As for featured guest Michael Golden, not only does he provide the pencils for a Warrior Woman piece, but he also in turns inks the bluelines of other featured artists Hughes and Chan.
In turn, creators that have put brush to paper on Golden include Buzz, Stuart Sayger, Tony DeZuniga, Tim Vigil, Ernie Chan and Atula Siriwardame…with more to come.
Needless to say, Michael's limited return to the convention circuit in 2008, has brought a great deal of interest in his artistic legacy, as noted by response to the inking panel project. Numerous new books and DVD's on the artist are also out and forthcoming, including: "Excess: The Art of Michael Golden," from Vanguard Productions--which has sold out and is going into a second printing with a new Vampirella cover; "Modern Masters Vol.12--Michael Golden"; "Modern Masters in the Studio with Michael Golden DVD"; the upcoming two disc set "Creator Chronicles: Michael Golden" from Woodcrest Productions; as well as the upcoming sketchbook "Michael Golden Heroes & Villains" which will début at San Diego. You can also see new Golden covers on "Exiles," "Demon's Regret," "Wolverine," and more!
Michael will be available all days of the SJSC along with other comics and media luminaries Frank Cho, Travis Charest, Frank Cho, Jorge Garcia (Lost), Greg Horn, Adam Hughes, SanJulian, Joe Jusko, Mark Texeira, Craig Hamilton, Don McGregor among many others.
