Platinum Studios to Showcase the Comic Book Challenge on Free Comic Book Day

Platinum Studios, Inc. (OTCBB: PDOS), an entertainment company that controls an international library of more than 5,600 comic book characters which it adapts, produces and licenses for all forms of media, announced today its participation as a silver sponsor in the 7th Annual Free Comic Book Day, taking place Saturday, May 3rd.
Platinum Studios will distribute a comic double feature showcasing the best of the best from The Comic Book Challenge™. 2006 Comic Book Challenge winner, DJ Coffman, presents an exclusive “Hero By Night” mini-issue, while 2007 Challenge winner, Jorge Vega, provides a sneak peek at the highly anticipated Platinum Studios graphic novel “Gunplay.” The issue will also highlight several other past successes from Comic Book Challenge alumni.
Both Vega and Coffman will be on-hand to sign and meet with fans at their local comic book retailers. Vega and Gunplay artist Dominic Vivona will be at Jetpack Comics (www.jetpackcomics.com) in Rochester, NH from 9:00am-4:00pm, and Larry’s Comics (www.atomictoymills.com) in Lowell, MA from 5:00pm-9:00pm. DJ Coffman will be signing all day at Joy’s Japanimation (www.joysjapanimation.com) in Greensburg, PA.
