Friends Of Lulu Hold Silent Auction For Empowerment Fund At HeroesCon

June 12, 2006 – Friends of Lulu, the national non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote and encourage female readership and participation in the comic book industry will hold a silent auction during HeroesCon this year. Each day of the show there will be items for auction at the FOL table with all proceeds going to the Empowerment Fund.

Items for auction include original art by many notable artists in the industry as well as various memorabilia.

“The response has been outstanding,” said Ronée Bourgeois, National Vice President of FOL. “We are hoping that this auction helps not only raise money for the fund but awareness as well.”

The organization is currently soliciting donations for auction items. If you would like to contribute or volunteer your time to help with the auction, please contact Friends of Lulu at board@friends-lulu.org
