After being beaten down and on the precipice of death after the events of Annihilation: Prologue, Nova picks himself up to take on the Annihilation Wave in Annihilation: Nova #1.

Besides taking on a cosmic army marching from system to system, Nova has to bear the burden of being the last son of Xandar. Can Rich Rider cope with the responsibility of carrying on the memory of an entire planet?

Despite the overwhelming odds of not surviving, Nova refuses to bow before the Annihilation Wave and attempts to send a warning out to other planets. But will he be in time and can he survive an attack by an army that destroyed an entire planet?
