A recap of DC Comics' slide presentation during their Wondercon "DCU" Panel on Saturday, February 11, 2006:

INFINITE CRISIS: In April, writer Geoff Johns, artists Phil Jimenez & Andy Lanning bring you the awe-inspiring conclusion to the miniseries event of the year in INFINITE CRISIS #7! This issue features covers by superstar artists Jim Lee and George Pérez.

52: Starting in May, DC proudly presents 52, the weekly series spinning out of INFINITE CRISIS, written by Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid, with layouts by Keith Giffen and covers by J.G. Jones. The first month will feature art by Joe Bennett & Ruy Jose. This extraordinary project tells the story of the DCU’s missing year, and the stunning events that happened before One Year Later began.

And starting in 52 #2, Dan Jurgens writes and pencils “The History of the DC Universe,” a 10-part backup tale that takes you on a tour through the legendary past of the DCU!

JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA: New York Times best-selling author Brad Meltzer, writer of IDENTITY CRISIS, and superstar artist Ed Benes guide the adventures of the World’s Greatest Super-Heroes starting in JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #1, in August. In July, Brad and Ed will be joined by guest-artists galore for a special #0 issue of the new series!

CHECKMATE: In April, Greg Rucka reunites with THE OMAC PROJECT artist Jesus Saiz for CHECKMATE #1. Joined by cover artist Lee Bermejo, this new, ongoing series presents a different spy agency for a different — and deadly — world.

SHADOWPACT: From the pages of DAY OF VENGEANCE comes SHADOWPACT, the ragtag team of mystic heroes that includes Nightmaster, Ragman, Nightshade, Blue Devil, Enchantress and yes, Detective Chimp! Written and illustrated by Bill Willingham, SHADOWPACT #1 arrives in stores in May as the team must stand against magical threats to the DCU. This is the first series Bill Willingham has illustrated in a long time.

SECRET SIX: Repercussions from VILLAINS UNITED ripple through the DCU in the 6-part miniseries SECRET SIX, making its debut in May. Written by Gail Simone, with art by Brad Walker & Jimmy Palmiotti and covers by Karl Kerschl, this mysterious team — their roster is available only on a need to know basis —walk the line between good and evil in the DCU.

BLUE BEETLE: Ted Kord’s mystical Blue Beetle scarab has chosen its new guardian! But supernatural powers can be a blessing or a curse, and when it comes to the powers of the Scarab, you don’t get one without the other. This new hero makes his debut in BLUE BEETLE #1, coming in March and written by Keith Giffen & John Rogers with art by Cully Hamner.

CRISIS AFTERMATH: THE SPECTRE: DAY OF VENGEANCE presented the Spectre without a host, running rampant across the DCU. Now, the spirit of vengeance has been joined with a human host once more: Detective Crispus Allen, murdered in the pages of GOTHAM CENTRAL. But Allen wants nothing to do with the Spectre or his mission. The Spectre is reborn in CRISIS AFTERMATH: THE SPECTRE, a 3-issue miniseries written by Will Pfeifer with art by Cliff Chiang, debuting in May.

CRISIS AFTERMATH: THE BATTLE FOR BLÜDHAVEN: From the ruins of Blüdhaven comes CRISIS AFTERMATH: THE BATTLE FOR BLÜDHAVEN, a 6-issue miniseries written by Jimmy Palmiotti & Justin Gray with art by Dan Jurgens & Palmiotti and covers by Daniel Acuña that ships twice monthly, beginning in April! And in May’s issue #36, the Titans are forced to make a trip across the world to the bizarre Dayton Manor, headquarters of the Doom Patrol… and the Brotherhood of Evil isn't far behind.

OUTSIDERS: It’s One Year Later… and in THE OUTSIDERS #34, by Judd Winick, Matthew Clark & Art Thibert, the team is finished. Done. No team by that name exists. At least, that’s the story…unless they’re coming for you…

The new creative team of Kurt Busiek and Butch Guice start an amazing new undersea adventure in AQUAMAN: SWORD OF ATLANTIS #40, coming in March — an issue that also features a variant cover by Ian Churchill.
