Comic Blogs Abound: j.hues, Segura

Comics related blogs are quickly outnumbering comic book news sites, it seems. But before writers like myself go the way of Dan Rather, SBC wants to welcome two new blogs. The first will be of particular interest to long-time SBC readers. Rather than paraphrase, I'll merely let the blogger speak for himself:
"You loved the column! You love the strip! And now, you'll love the blog. One of the original bad boys of comics columns, j.hues, returns to his humor/parody/satire/self-congratulations/self-plea-- (*ahem*) roots with the all-new Rolling With The Punches (Version 3.0): THE BLOG! Find it at http://punches.blogspot.com/
The same kinds of shenanigans you saw on the column that reigned at Silver Bullet Comics from 2002 - 2003, before j.hues took over All the Rage very briefly, before j.hues became the PR/Marketing Manager for Future Comics, before that entity went out of business and j.hues started up the ongoing adventures of a quirky gang of misfits at their local comics shop in the daily comic strip RWTPv2: Rolling With The Punches (find it at www.rwtpv2.com
(not)Rob Liefeld: Hey, at least I was only copying my own work!
j.hues: Good point, Rob. Here's a paperclip.
(not)Rob Liefeld: Ooh, shiny!
And that my friends is how you delay Youngblood for six months! Believe it or not, I met Rob Liefeld and he said he'd read and enjoyed the column. A classy guy. But still good fodder.
*ahem*
How does a press release get derailed so badly? Well, it's back. You either care or you don't. If you do then you are a superior human being. If you don't... well, sorry about that. But at least I hear that the simple-minded often live longer. See you in the blogosphere!"
Enough borderline in-house zaniness.
The second blogger of note is a name familar to many comic book journalism readers: Alex Segura Jr.
Segura is one of the good guys in the industry (in this author's opinion) and has created an interesting blog by the name of The Great Curve. Again, let's let the blogger speak for himself:
"Featuring an extensive collection of links and informative commentary on the latest events in comic book news from Alex Segura Jr., former staffer at both Wizard: The Guide to Comics and www.newsarama.com, The Great Curve provides Internet surfers with an ideal first stop during their daily world wide web journey.
So, check out the site, post your comments about the news and get in on the official launch, before the Internet ends! Or not. Got big news coming up? Send us the link and we'll post it ASAP and get the news out to the industry and the community. TGC isn't just a fun read, it's a great way to spread the word on an upcoming project!
Also, a note to fellow bloggers/journalists/webmasters: If you'd like a link to your site to appear on The Great Curve, please drop an e-mail to AlexSegJr@aol.com. And feel free to return the favor!
Come join the party at The Great Curve!"
Be sure to enjoy both blogs.
