COMPANY PLEDGES ONGOING SUPPORT FOR THE ICAA

X-ray Comics founder Ronald Pruitt believes that no company can truly succeed without giving back to the community in which it operates. With that in mind, X-ray Comics has pledged to set aside five percent of every purchase made at www.x-raycomics.com specifically towards buying new comic books and graphic novels that will be donated to charities or schools in the Atlanta area. Comics donated will include age appropriate material and will be targeted to reach new readers through local charities supporting children or young adults. Pruitt hopes these heroic and fantastic stories inspire creativity and a love of reading, just as they did for him in his youth.

These donations are being made in support of the International Comic Arts Association (ICAA) Comics Outreach Program. Ronald states, “We are proud to support the International Comic Arts Association, and their continuing efforts on behalf of the comic book industry to introduce comics to a new generation of readers.”

X-ray Comics plans to make four donations a year based on revenue totals of the previous fiscal quarter. The first set of donations will occur in December 2004 based on five percent of sales from now until October 31st. Subsequent donations will occur in March, June, September and December of 2005 and beyond.

One of the first organizations to receive comic book donations from X-ray Comics will be Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Children's is one of the leading pediatric healthcare systems in the country, recognized for excellence in cardiac, cancer and transplant services. More information about Children's Healthcare of Atlanta can be found at their website - www.choa.org.

ICAA Executive Director, Erik Enervold, added, "We are touched by the generosity of Ronald Pruitt and X-Ray Comics and are honored that he chose to make these donations on behalf of the ICAA. These efforts - and others like them - can serve to provide long-term results for the industry by helping to improve the public perception of the medium, while introducing the fun and excitement of comic books to some very deserving children who often can use a little joy in their lives. The ICAA would like to thank Ronald for his ongoing support and hope that his efforts can serve to inspire other retailers to follow suit."
