Press Release

Sometimes a recipe for success can be further spiced with the addition of one more key ingredient. That's the case as Beckett Comics has added cover artist David Mack (Daredevil, Kabuki) to its talented creative team responsible for the much-anticipated release of the premiere issue of Ruule.

Ruule: Ganglords of Chinatown is the first chapter in Beckett Comics' haunting new comic series exploring the soul of humanity. The five-issue story arc tells the tale of Gid, a true believer and skilled warrior who is called upon to save his people in futuristic San Francisco, a god-forsaken, murderous-biker-infested hell on earth.

David Mack's covers for Ruule: Ganglords of Chinatown mirror the flow of the series. Readers will notice that as the story gets darker and more menacing, the cover images follow suit.

From a story by Jeff Amano (Terminator 3, Taoland, Gene-Fusion), the book was written by Ivan Brandon (Terminator 3, Gene-Fusion) with art by Mike Hawthorne (Terminator 3, Grendel: Red, White & Black) and Rick Remender (Terminator 3, Avengers). Edited by Gabriel Benson (Terminator 3), colors were done by Giulia Brusco (Batgirl/Catwoman) under the art direction of Matt Hollingsworth (Daredevil, Alias).

Due to hit comic shops in November 2003, the 48-page action-filled premiere comic is published in prestige format and carries a cover price of $5.95. It is currently being solicited. Comics retailers can look forward to special order incentives for issue 2.
