    I’ve always considered Lifeforce to be a genre-fan’s slam dunk: written by Dan O’Bannon and directed by Tobe Hooper, the film merges sci-fi and horror via a plot involving space vampires, zombies and a giant bio-mechanical spaceship hiding in the tail of Halley’s Comet intent on sucking the titular “life force” from everyone on Earth.
