Hello all!  AUTHORITY #14 $2.99 (Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning / Simon Coleby)So Kaizen Gamorra has returned and his nation is one of the few areas left fairly unscathed, but he has spent much of the past couple of years growing yet another massive batch of super powered soldiers, all of whom are now attacking the Authority's carrier. Kaizen and his minions are a handful for the team on a good day, and when your team's best tactician and martial artist decides that NOW is a good time to leave to try to find a cure for his husband, it can kind of makes things difficult. That's an understatement, to say the least. I have to say that I am enjoying this creative team's run on this book; over the last few years it seemed that the Authority could accomplish almost anything, so it is interesting to see them now when they are at their weakest, still attempting to fight the good fight. Good stuff.  INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #17 (Matt Fraction / Salvador Larroca)So, let's say you're one of the world's greatest scientific minds with one of the most advanced suits of technological armor in existence, only now you're on the run from a former super villain that has been charged with the keeping control of all super powered beings in the U.S. You have to destroy the data, which would be one thing if it was just as easy as destroying some hard drives, but the data is in your head, in your mind. How do you delete and reformat a brain? For Tony Stark, that seems to be about the only option.  ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER-MAN #2 $3.99 (Brian Michael Bendis / David LaFuente)I don't know how it happened, but sometime over the past few months I kind of drifted away from Ultimate Spider-Man; it wasn't anything wrong with the book, but life is life and I missed a few issues here and there and kind of got lost. When I saw that the Ultimate Universe was being reborn under the "Ultimate Comics" banner I was happy because it gave me a chance to check to jump back into the book with a fresh start. And boy, am I glad that I did, because in the first issue Bendis and LaFuente packed in enough information for someone like me, basically new to the title, a chance to catch up on everything that had happened before and hit the ground running as this comic started off. So what's going on? Well, basically the same thing that has been going on since the first issue of Ultimate Spider-Man: a teenage boy trying to deal with responsibility of the powers that have been thrust upon him and he tries to navigate the labyrinth that is adolescent love and high school.
