Though it's been almost 30 years since I watched it.
That's one I always wanted to watch, especially when I was young, but never got around to seeing.

My favorite Hannibal Lecter in a "serious" crime/horror film was Brian Cox in Manhunter.

Kenneth Branagh's involvement has me eager to see "Thor." (I love his film adaptations of "Henry V," "Much Ado about Nothing," and "Hamlet," and "Dead Again" is one of my favorite over-the-top thrillers. His "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein" was just OK, however.)

Is it sad that the Marvel films seem to get it right these days, and the actual Marvel comics do not?

I'm curious to see how they handle the dialogue in the film, since Branagh is so well-known for his Shakespearean work. Mehopes it sucketh not.

I wonder if they'll keep the pseudo-Renaissance English of the comics.

Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Hmmm...

He's becoming the "go to" older English guy (even though he's Welsh and would be playing a proto-Scandinavian).

I guess Sean Connery had to let that title go sometime (even though he's Scottish).

Gravitas, I suppose, knows no cultural bounds.

Well, we've got a few - Ian McKellen and Christopher Lee are no strangers to "genre" movies, either...
