ARCHIE EDITOR MIKE PELLERITO ANSWERS SONIC FANS' QUESTIONS, SONIC X MOVES
FROM MINI-SERIES TO ONGOING

As most comic book readers know, Archie Comic Publication's SONIC line of
books have a dedicated and fervent fan-following. And like any comic fans,
they're sure to have plenty of questions.

In a move to help answer questions and continue talking up the latest
addition to the Sonic family of titles, SONIC X, Sonic editor Mike Pellerito
dove into the world wide web.

"There are a number of Sonic fan sites across the Internet," Pellerito
noted. "It was just a matter of picking two of the best and interacting with
the fans that call each site home."

With the help of SONICHQ.ORG and KENPENDERS.COM (home of SONIC writer Ken
Penders), Pellerito coordinated a way for fans to submit their burning
questions right to the source, and answers are on the way!

"It just seemed like a fun way to see what SONIC fans think and get feedback
from them," Pellerito explained. "And it seems to have worked!"

Among the big announcements revealed in the Q&A: SONIC X, the latest
addition to the SONIC stable of books, will now be an ongoing series, set to
be published 10 times a year!

"The reaction from fans when it came to SONIC X was impossible to ignore,"
Pellerito noted. "We'd be foolish not to keep this book on the stands."

While the first wave of questions have been answered and are making their
way back to the web sites, fans are still welcome to pop by each fan site's
respective message board to chat about their favorite blue speedster.

"The answers for the first batch are done, but I'd definitely be up for
trying this again," Pellerito said. "It was a great chance to talk SONIC
with our fans."

The Q&As are just one of many planned promotions tied to the ongoing SONIC
series and the upcoming SONIC X. They are also an expansion of Pellerito's
involvement with fans. On an almost monthly basis, the editor personally
answers fans questions in the pages of SONIC's letters column.

"Sonic has always been a consistent seller for us, and that's because of the
fans," said Archie Co-Publishers Michael I. Silberkleit and Richard
Goldwater. "We see this as a way to give back a bit and keep people
interested in these exciting stories!"
