X-Man [ Nate Grey ]

Hey guys. This thread is about Nate Grey. what did you think of him? do you think he was the most powerful mutant to exist?

Were you happy that Joe Quesada killed him off because the writers did a bad job and sales went down? Use this tread to discuss.

I've worked hard to make a website [i'm new to that sorta thing], a petiton, and a forum.

Please point to http://Www.NateGrey.r8.Org for my site.
Please point to http://Www.NateGreyForums.r8.Org for my forum.

IF you couldn't care less but would like to sign JUST the Online PETITION to bring him back : http://www.petitiononline.com/NateGrey/

Thanks

I honestly don't know a lot about Nate Grey. Read his character once when he crossed over into a Spider-Man story, and he seemed like he had a lot of potential. Doesn't surprise me, therefore, that Quesada had him killed off!

I really liked about the first half of his book. He was an interesting character, but I don't know how much they could do with him. They already had Cable, who he basically was, and they really ran out of ideas for him. I'd rather they kill him off over just letting him drag on for no reason.

I was always sorry they didn't do more with Cable. He seems a character of unrealized potential to me.

Totally. Even though it's funny, the character could do much better than hang around with Deadpool for an entire series.

I thought it was cool when they crossed him over with Cable. "You're an insanely powerful and uncontrollable version of me, so I should probably take you out."

And the early issues were a bit of fun. They were mostly a series of run-ins with other heroes and conflicts born of mistaken intentions, but it was awesome when he kicked Prof. X's ass and then declared him his enemy.

Steve Skroce's artwork really rocked my world.

Then Terry Kavanagh took over and all the interesting stuff grinded to a halt. They turned him into a Soho fortune teller. Blah.

The Ellis year was pretty cool though, and might have been the first comic since Moore's Captain Britain to use the term "616".

Maybe he could come back as the focus of a crossover. Nate's psionic and telekenitc power reaches critical mass, damaging every mind on the planet. People go crazy, personalities change, even reality itself starts to warp-oh wait, they can't do that. Grey's not a mentally healthy woman.

What if Grey's consciousness, dispersed at the end of his series, pulls itself back together as a side effect of that "Collective" thing from Avengers. he becomes a benevolent version of The Shadow King and influences people's minds to do good works. The heroes find out and debate the ethics of letting someone so powerful continue to act nobly vs. the impossibility of containing/killing. Then Xorn comes back as an evil energy being and the two of them destroy each other.

Or do they?

So yeah, I'd like to see Nate come back. Angry teen with more power than Phoenix. Good story material.

Maybe not in Marvel's hands, these days.

Yes, I thought Nate Grey was the most powerfullest mutant of them all. He was more powerfuller than Hulk and Think combined--and Superman and Thor to. I can not belive that Marvel did what they did to him becuz he was my favoritest xmen of alltime and I want him to come back soon after Wanda redid realty with her realty changing powers.

You may get your wish with Onslaught Reborn!
