All Star Comics Revue - 1977

Print This Item

I first saw THE ALL-STAR COMICS REVUE on my very first trip to my very first comic book shop, a Heroes World.

Despite my love for the Justice Society of America, I passed on buying it that first time, and then didn't come across another copy for twenty years.

The REVUE is exactly what it seems to be, an Earth-2 counterpart to the invaluable George Olshevsky Marvel Indexes produced in the '70s. Only this one indexed the adventures of the JSA, both during the golden age and after. It's a fan project, to be sure, but one that's brimming with interesting information about these characters and stories. And the reproductions of all of the ALL-STAR covers (albeit in black and white) don't hurt either.
