Well this is the time of the year for massive amounts of parties, shopping, gift giving and complete exhaustion. If you’re not finished with your holiday shopping and if last weeks column full of suggestions we have a long list more. All thanks to the YALSA’s (Young Adult Library Services of America) nominations for great graphic novels. And that’s not all for this week, a big announcement that lovers of this column must read!
Anybody go to the Anime Festival this weekend in NYC? Originally the plan was to go down but schedules fill up too fast this time of the year. It was a real bummer to miss this show. The last pure Anime Con I had gone to was in 2000, so needless to say missing it was quite disappointing. For anyone who has never wanted to go, rethink your decision. A good Anime Con, with all the cosplay (People dressed up as characters) and the great artwork is as unique an experience as you can have at a con. Anyone out there get to go, love to hear how you liked it.
Next up, that bit of big news. For the next few weeks we are going to put the column on hiatus. You may have heard that Archie was nice enough to make me the new managing editor. It has made my long days incredibly longer, and the challenge has been great. You can certainly expect a lot of new cool things going on at Archie, and you hear the inside scoop here. Just not for a few weeks.
 We will be back in the New Year different and better than ever. If you want to be emailed when the new columns start running again email me.
