BACK TO SCHOOL ALREADY?

Back to school already?

Being a kid and hanging out all summer, the days go on forever and then one day you actually miss school? A horrible thought you can't tell your friends and allow them to know the dork you are for thinking such things. You get mad at yourself when you realize the countdown to back to school started. If only school was more fun like comic books… wait a minute, this sounds like an into to a back to school column.
What a dork.

Yup, one the "miss school" though pops out you're done. Everyday thereafter you are aware of the mortality of your summer freedom and the cold impending doom of school lurking on the horizon.
Same situation at Archie in a way. All summer we have half hour lunches and the office closes down at 1:00 on Friday afternoons. The only downside's this puts an incredible cramp, or rather a screeching halt to the lunchtime Wiffleball games. Sometime early August a few of us started to miss the Wiffleball games and all of the sudden it is Labor Day weekend and the summer is basically over.
All things considered this seemed like a good weekend to cram a lot of summer in before it is too late. So, I'll leave you with some news on a couple of All Ages projects.

Also, shameless plug-Sonic Archives Volume 5 is out. Just received advance copies last week of volume 5, 6 and Bad, Boy Trouble-the New Look Betty and Veronica stories. All of the copies came in shrink-wrapped – it was like opening a present. Everything looks great. Certainly that was a great way to close out summer.

To all the kids going back to school, don't worry about it summer will be back next year and there are plenty of great comics to keep you busy until then.

Next Tuesday we take a look at a comic that can inspire kids to be a little bit stronger in the face of adversity. It also has plenty of Ninjas and superheroes too.
